Anti-MAGE-D1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target MAGE-D1 is a known alias name of the protein MAGE family member D1, encoded by the MAGED1 gene in humans. This 778-amino acid residue protein is reported to be involved in apoptotic response after nerve growth factor (NGF) binding in neuronal cells. It is localized to the cell membrane, nucleus, and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in bone marrow stromal cells from both multiple myeloma patients and healthy donors.
