Anti-NOMO1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein NODAL modulator 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1222 amino acid residues and a mass of 134.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER. It is reported to be expressed in colon tumor tissue and in adjacent normal colonic mucosa. NOMO1 is a known component of the multi-pass translocon (MPT) complex that mediates insertion of multi-pass membrane proteins into the lipid bilayer of membranes. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include PM5, pM5 protein 3, pM5 protein, telomeric copy, and Nomo.
