Anti-FINC antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target FINC is a known alias name of the protein fibronectin 1, encoded by the FN1 gene in humans. This 2477-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in angiogenesis and cell adhesion, among other biological processes. It is localized to the extracellular matrix and is secreted of the cell and features glycosylated, cleaved, sulfated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the inner limiting membrane and around blood vessels in the retina. Other synonyms for FINC include CIG and ED-B. Some FINC antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
