Anti-cytochrome P450 2D6 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the cytochrome P450 2D6 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CYP2D6 gene, which encodes cytochrome P450 family 2 subfamily D member 6. This protein is known to function in cholesterol metabolism and homeostasis, among other biological roles. The human version of cytochrome P450 2D6 has a canonical amino acid length of 497 residues and a protein mass of 55.8 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells and notably expressed in the liver. Other names for this target antigen include CPD6, CYP2D, and CYP2D7AP. Western Blot is the most common application for the cytochrome P450 2D6 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
