Anti-SLC25A27 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 25 member 27. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 323 amino acid residues and a mass of 36.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is a member of the Mitochondrial carrier (TC 2.A.29) protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include mitochondrial uncoupling protein 4, UCP 4, uncoupling protein 4, and UCP4. SLC25A27 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Some SLC25A27 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
