Anti-BRK1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein BRICK1 subunit of SCAR/WAVE actin nucleating complex. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 75 amino acid residues and a mass of 8.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the BRK1 protein family, BRK1 is known to be involved in regulation of actin and microtubule organization. Synonyms for this target antigen include BRICK1, SCAR/WAVE actin nucleating complex subunit, haematopoietic stem/progenitor cell protein 300, and protein BRICK1. BRK1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some BRK1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
