Anti-MT2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target MT2 is a known alias name of the protein metallothionein 2A, encoded by the MT2A gene in humans. This 61-amino acid residue protein is a member of the Metallothionein protein superfamily. The term MT-II is another synonym for MT2.
