Anti-Na+/H+ Exchanger-1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Na+/H+ Exchanger-1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SLC9A1 gene, which encodes solute carrier family 9 member A1. This protein is known to function in cardiac muscle cell differentiation and cell migration, among other biological roles. The human version of Na+/H+ Exchanger-1 has a canonical amino acid length of 815 residues and a protein mass of 90.8 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the ER and cell membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include APNH, LIKNS, and NHE-1.
