Anti-GPR26 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein G protein-coupled receptor 26. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 337 amino acid residues and a mass of 37.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. It is reported to be highly expressed in the CNS, the highest expression is seen in the amygdala, hippocampus and thalamus. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, GPR26 is categorized as a type of orphan receptor. GPR26 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some GPR26 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for these antibodies.
