Anti-CD224 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CD224 is a known alias name of the protein gamma-glutamyltransferase 1, encoded by the GGT1 gene in humans. This 569-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in fatty acid metabolism, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features N-glycosylated and cleaved post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in fetal and adult kidney and liver, adult pancreas, stomach, intestine, placenta and lung. The term D22S672 is another synonym for CD224. Western Blot is the most common application for the CD224 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
