Anti-CELF3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein CUGBP Elav-like family member 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 465 amino acid residues and a mass of 50.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in the brain. A member of the CELF/BRUNOL protein family, CELF3 is a reported RNA-binding protein involved in the regulation of pre-mRNA alternative splicing. Synonyms for this target antigen include CAGH4, ERDA4, ETR-1, TNRC4, CAG repeat domain, CAG repeat protein 4, CUG-BP- and ETR-3-like factor 3, and BRUNOL1. CELF3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of CELF3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
