Anti-Tectonic-2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Tectonic-2 is a known alias name of the protein tectonic family member 2, encoded by the TCTN2 gene in humans. This 697-amino acid residue protein is a known component of the tectonic-like complex, a complex localized at the transition zone of primary cilia and acting as a barrier that prevents diffusion of transmembrane proteins between the cilia and plasma membranes. It is localized to the membrane and cytoplasm of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the bronchus and fallopian tube. The term tectonic-2 is another synonym for Tectonic-2. Indicated applications for Tectonic-2 antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
