Anti-GEF5 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the GEF5 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ARHGEF5 gene, which encodes Rho guanine nucleotide exchange factor 5. This protein is known to function in cytoskeleton organization and GTPase activation, among other biological roles. The human version of GEF5 has a canonical amino acid length of 1597 residues and a protein mass of 176.8 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include P60 and TIM.
