Anti-Plasmolipin antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene PLLP in humans. The gene may also be known as PMLP, TM4SF11, plasma membrane proteolipid (plasmolipin), and transmembrane 4 superfamily member 11 (plasmolipin). Structurally, the protein is reported to be 20 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
