Anti-RBBP5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein RB binding protein 5, histone lysine methyltransferase complex subunit. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 538 amino acid residues and a mass of 59.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. RBBP5 is known to be involved with DNA damage pathways. Synonyms for this target antigen include SWD1, retinoblastoma-binding protein 5, SWD1, Set1c WD40 repeat protein, homolog, retinoblastoma-binding protein RBQ-3, and RBQ3. RBBP5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Over 120 citations in the literature describe the use of RBBP5 antibodies in research. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunofluorescence is also a common application.
