Anti-MAPKAPK1A antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target MAPKAPK1A is a known alias name of the protein ribosomal protein S6 kinase A1, encoded by the RPS6KA1 gene in humans. This 735-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the cell cycle and chemical synaptic transmission, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features myristoylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for MAPKAPK1A include HU-1 and MAPKAPK1.
