Anti-cdc19 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target cdc19 is a known alias name of the protein minichromosome maintenance complex component 2, encoded by the MCM2 gene in humans. This 904-amino acid residue protein is known to act as component of the MCM2-7 complex (MCM complex) which is the replicative helicase essential for 'once per cell cycle' DNA replication initiation and elongation in eukaryotic cells. It is localized to the nucleus and chromosomes of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and bone marrow. Other synonyms for cdc19 include BM28, BM28, and CCNL1. Western Blot is the most common application for the cdc19 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
