Anti-OR8J1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein olfactory receptor family 8 subfamily J member 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 316 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, OR8J1 is known to be involved with GPCR signaling pathways and the sensory perception of smell. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include olfactory receptor 8J1 and olfactory receptor OR11-183. Western Blot is the most common application for the OR8J1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
