Anti-calmodulin-like protein 3 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target calmodulin-like protein 3 is a known alias name of the protein calmodulin like 3, encoded by the CALML3 gene in humans. This 149-amino acid residue protein is believed to function as a a specific light chain of unconventional myosin-10 (MYO10), also enhances MYO10 translation, possibly by acting as a chaperone for the emerging MYO10 heavy chain protein. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in normal mammary, prostate, cervical, and epidermal tissues.
