Anti-OXPAT antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The OXPAT antigen is another term for the human protein perilipin 5, encoded by the PLIN5 gene. The protein is known to function in the metabolism of lipids, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 463 residues and a mass of 50.8 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria and cytoplasm and it is reported to be expressed in skeletal muscle, liver, heart and kidney. The OXPAT protein is a member of the Perilipin protein family.
