Anti-Aquaporin 3 antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene AQP3, or 'aquaporin 3 (Gill blood group)' in humans. The 292-amino acid protein is a member of the MIP/aquaporin (TC 1.A.8) family. The cellular localization is predicted to be membrane-associated. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
