Anti-Catestatin antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Catestatin is a known alias name of the protein chromogranin A, encoded by the CHGA gene in humans. This 457-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in innate immune responses, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasmic vesicles and is secreted of the cell and features O-glycosylated, cleaved and sulfated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in cerebrospinal fluid. Other synonyms for Catestatin include CGA, PHE5, and PHES. A number of Catestatin antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Western Blot is also a common application.
