Anti-MGluR1 antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene GRM1, or 'glutamate metabotropic receptor 1' in humans. The 1194-amino acid protein is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor 3 family. The cellular localization is predicted to be membrane-associated. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
