Anti-Caspr2 antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene CNTNAP2, or 'contactin associated protein like 2' in humans. The 1331-amino acid protein is a member of the Neurexin family. The cellular localization is predicted to be membrane-associated. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
