Anti-C/EBP-beta antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The C/EBP-beta antigen is another term for the human protein CCAAT enhancer binding protein beta, encoded by the CEBPB gene. The protein is known to function in brown fat cell differentiation and the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 345 residues and a mass of 36.1 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm and it is reported to be expressed at low levels in the lung, kidney and spleen. The C/EBP-beta protein is a member of the BZIP protein family. Other alias names for C/EBP-beta include IL6DBP and NF-IL6. A number of C/EBP-beta antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
