Anti-DEPTOR antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein DEP domain containing MTOR interacting protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 409 amino acid residues and a mass of 46.3 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. DEPTOR is a reported regulator of the mTORC1 and mTORC2 signaling pathways. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination and phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include DEP domain containing 6 and DEP domain-containing protein 6. DEPTOR gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Over 60 citations in the literature describe the use of DEPTOR antibodies in research. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
