Anti-protocadherin beta 15 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the PCDHB15 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 787 amino acid residues and a mass of 86.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. It is noted to be involved in cell adhesion and nervous system development. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the protocadherin beta 15 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
