Anti-TM6SF1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane 6 superfamily member 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 370 amino acid residues and a mass of 41.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the lysosomes. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in spleen, testis and peripheral blood leukocytes. A member of the TM6SF protein family, TM6SF1 is believed to function as a sterol isomerase. TM6SF1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the TM6SF1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunocytochemistry are also common applications.
