Anti-Vascular endothelial growth factor C antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene VEGFC in humans. The gene may also be known as VEGF-C, Flt4-L, LMPH1D, LMPHM4, VRP, FLT4 ligand DHM, and vascular endothelial growth factor-related protein. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 46.9 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
