Anti-TTC23 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein tetratricopeptide repeat domain 23. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 447 amino acid residues and a mass of 50 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell projections. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. TTC23 is reported to participate positively in the ciliary Hedgehog (Hh) signaling. Synonyms for this target antigen include TPR repeat protein 23, cervical cancer proto-oncogene 8 protein, and tetratricopeptide repeat protein 23. TTC23 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the TTC23 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
