Anti-DVL antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the DVL antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DVL1 gene, which encodes dishevelled segment polarity protein 1. This protein is known to function in axon guidance and the Wnt signaling pathway, among other biological roles. The human version of DVL has a canonical amino acid length of 695 residues and a protein mass of 75.2 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane, cytoplasmic vesicles, and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. DVL is a member of the DSH protein family.
