Anti-TMC3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane channel like 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1100 amino acid residues and a mass of 125.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the parathyroid gland. A member of the TMC protein family, TMC3 is a suspected ion channel. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include transmembrane channel-like protein 3. TMC3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some TMC3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for these antibodies.
