Anti-Syntaxin 19 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the STX19 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 294 amino acid residues and a mass of 34.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. A member of the Syntaxin protein family, it is reported to play a role in in endosomal trafficking of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR).
