Anti-XBP2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target XBP2 is a known alias name of the protein X-box binding protein 1, encoded by the XBP1 gene in humans. This 261-amino acid residue protein is known to function as a transcription factor during endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress by regulating the unfolded protein response (UPR). It is localized to the ER of the cell and features ubiquitinated, acetylated and cleaved post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in plasma cells in rheumatoid synovium. Other synonyms for XBP2 include TREB-5 and TREB5. Western Blot is the most common application for the XBP2 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
