Anti-RAD9B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein RAD9 checkpoint clamp component B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 426 amino acid residues and a mass of 47.8 kDa. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in the testis and skeletal muscle. A member of the Rad9 protein family, RAD9B is known to be involved with DNA repair and DNA replication. Synonyms for this target antigen include DNA repair exonuclease rad9 homolog B, RAD9 homolog B, and cell cycle checkpoint control protein RAD9B. RAD9B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the RAD9B antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
