Anti-L-asparaginase antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target L-asparaginase is a known alias name of the protein asparaginase and isoaspartyl peptidase 1, encoded by the ASRGL1 gene in humans. This 308-amino acid residue protein is known to have both L-asparaginase and beta-aspartyl peptidase activity. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features cleaved post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the brain, kidney, testis and tissues of the gastrointestinal tract. Other synonyms for L-asparaginase include isoaspartyl peptidase/L-asparaginase and L-asparagine amidohydrolase. Indicated applications for L-asparaginase antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
