Anti-NOP14 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein NOP14 nucleolar protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 857 amino acid residues and a mass of 97.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the lung, hippocampus, and caudate. A member of the NOP14 protein family, NOP14 is known to be involved in nucleolar processing of pre-18S ribosomal RNA. Synonyms for this target antigen include NOL14, RES4-25, RES425, UTP2, nucleolar protein 14, and C4orf9. NOP14 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some NOP14 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
