Anti-TEKT5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein tektin 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 485 amino acid residues and a mass of 56.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell projections. A member of the Tektin protein family, TEKT5 is believed to be a structural component of the sperm flagellum. TEKT5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some TEKT5 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
