Anti-Interleukin 31 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the IL31 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 164 amino acid residues and a mass of 18.2 kDa. It is known to be a secreted protein. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. A number of Interleukin 31 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
