Anti-MYBPC1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein myosin binding protein C1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1141 amino acid residues and a mass of 128.3 kDa. Up to 1 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the skeletal muscle. A member of the MyBP protein family, MYBPC1 is known to be involved with cell adhesion. The MYBPC1 marker can be used to identify Cerebral Cortex MGE Interneurons.* Synonyms for this target antigen include LCCS4, MYBPCC, MYBPCS, MYOTREM, ssMyBP-C, and CMYP16. MYBPC1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
