Anti-F-box protein 8 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the FBXO8 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 319 amino acid residues and a mass of 37.1 kDa. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. It is believed to promote guanine-nucleotide exchange on an ARF. Other names for this target antigen include FBS, FBX8, F-box only protein 8, F-box protein Fbx8, F-box/SEC7 protein FBS, and DC10.
