Anti-ermin, ERM-like protein antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ermin, ERM-like protein antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ERMN gene, which encodes ermin. This protein is known to function in the regulation of cell shape, among other biological roles. The human version of ermin, ERM-like protein has a canonical amino acid length of 284 residues and a protein mass of 32.8 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the testis, hippocampus, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and caudate. This target antigen may also be known as ermin, ERM-like protein.
