Anti-MUPCDH antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target MUPCDH is a known alias name of the protein cadherin related family member 5, encoded by the CDHR5 gene in humans. This 845-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cell adhesion and cell differentiation, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features O-glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the kidney, liver, colon and small intestine.
