Anti-DERMO1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target DERMO1 is a known alias name of the protein twist family bHLH transcription factor 2, encoded by the TWIST2 gene in humans. This 160-amino acid residue protein is known to bind to the E-box consensus sequence 5'-CANNTG-3' as a heterodimer and inhibits transcriptional activation by MYOD1, MYOG, MEF2A and MEF2C. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. Indicated applications for DERMO1 antibodies listed below include Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
