Anti-MRPL15 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mitochondrial ribosomal protein L15. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 296 amino acid residues and a mass of 33.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Universal ribosomal protein uL15 protein family, MRPL15 is known to be involved with mitochondrial translation. Synonyms for this target antigen include L15mt, RPML7, 39S ribosomal protein L15, mitochondrial, mitochondrial large ribosomal subunit protein uL15m, and HSPC145. MRPL15 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some MRPL15 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
