Anti-LYPD5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein LY6/PLAUR domain containing 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 251 amino acid residues and a mass of 26.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include ly6/PLAUR domain-containing protein 5 and metastasis-associated protein. LYPD5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. These LYPD5 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
