Anti-RANBP6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein RAN binding protein 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1105 amino acid residues and a mass of 124.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Importin beta protein family, RANBP6 is believed to function in nuclear protein import as nuclear transport receptor. Synonyms for this target antigen include Ran-GTP binding protein. RANBP6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the RANBP6 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
