Anti-LYPLAL1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein lysophospholipase like 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 237 amino acid residues and a mass of 26.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the AB hydrolase 2 protein family, LYPLAL1 is known to have depalmitoylating activity toward KCNMA1. Synonyms for this target antigen include lysophospholipase-like protein 1. LYPLAL1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some LYPLAL1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
