Anti-neurturin antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the NRTN gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 197 amino acid residues and a mass of 22.4 kDa. It is known to be a secreted protein. A member of the TGF-beta protein family, it is known to be involved with MAPK cascade signaling pathways and nervous system development. Other names for this target antigen include NTN and prepro-neurturin.
