Anti-Inhibitor of DNA binding 1, HLH protein antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ID1 in humans. The gene may also be known as inhibitor of DNA binding 1, dominant negative helix-loop-helix protein, ID, bHLHb24, and DNA-binding protein inhibitor ID-1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 16.1 kilodaltons in mass. The ID1 marker can be used to identify Type 1 Descending Thin Limb Cells.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
